FC Botoșani Holds Dinamo to a 1-1 Draw in Super League Round 17
FC Botoșani and Dinamo played out an exciting 1-1 draw on Monday in the 17th round of the Super League. Mailat opened the scoring for Botoșani in the 44th minute, while Opruț equalized for Dinamo in the 76th minute.
Reactions After the Match
Alexandru Cîmpanu, FC Botoșani midfielder, expressed his admiration for Dinamo, calling them “the best opponent so far.”
“We faced a very strong team, the best opponent so far. It was a balanced match, with chances on both sides. I think the result is deserved. With a bit of luck, we could have taken the victory. We had a chance through Bordeianu—if we had scored, perhaps the game would have turned. There was also Petro’s opportunity,” Cîmpanu said.
“Overall, it was a good game, and the result is fair. We are very strong at home—the atmosphere, the cold… we are used to it. It’s hard for teams to leave Botoșani with points!”
Cîmpanu also reflected on the team’s ambitions:
“No one expected this. Our daily work is paying off, and we want to maintain this level as long as possible. We’re disappointed not to have returned to first place, but there are still many matches ahead, and we will continue to perform as well as we did tonight.”
